What stands out the most is how much her voice has changed from Malibu to Flowers :ohwow:  That can't just be natural aging, right?

Flowers and it isnt even close. ATRL/The stan world are going to look so stupid for their initial reactions when the dust settles from this album's rollout. :toofunny3:

Malibu made me a Miley stan in 2017 so that beautiful track will always have a special place for me :jonnycat:

She smoked up her voice and she had to have surgery a few years ago. Pair that with an already deep voice and she sounds like a smoky 45 year old at times. I think it suits her. I don' t think she sounds that different from when she recorded Younger Now album as her lower register has been quite strong for years.

That bassline in Flowers is quite tasty. It's a chill disco number. It's not very big but I could replay it. As for Malibu, I never really vibed with that one.

The gravely low vocals definitely work for her but it seems like she's completely lost any middle or upper range. Her new vocal range is basically one or two notes... it's great for the rock songs but a disco-pop track like this needs some lighter notes.

yea, generally I agree which is why I said it's not a very big disco track. Maybe she should've added some high rasp like in Midnight Sky.
