Midnights is listenable, so I'd go with that one. Chromatica genuinely just feels like noise for the vast majority of it.

They’re both excellent albums. I prefer Midnights, yet love Chromatica (#JusticeForPlasticDoll). Two talented veteran pop stars who write their own material, and it’s all great.

Chromatica is a pretty solid pop record aside from like 2 or 3 songs. Midnight felt like a serious regression for Taylor

GODMATICA 

I'm sorry but Chromatica sounded dated on arrival and this explains why it faded so quickly to the point where it's less used nowadays than Taylor albums that are over a decade old.

true, but I also meant that in comparison to her previous more pop sounding records (i.e. 1989, rep)

Chromatica is the better album, and this comparison made me realize that Chromatica actually fits the Midnights theme better than Midnights does.
