No one is being blocked. This is a numbers business, you either had the most sales and streams or not. SZA being black and Taylor being white has nothing to do with that.

SZA being both talented and black has nothing to do with topping the BB200 chart for another week. Did she have the most streams/sales? If not, then she needed to do more to have more sales/streams than a competitor.

SZA released an amazing album that should hopefully get an abundance of awards, but as she likely did not have the most streams/sales, in a chart battle which is only about numbers she doesn’t “deserve it.”

Maybe you need to remember that Lift Me Up had 9 Music Videos and 2 digital covers in an attempt to reaching #1 on the Hot 100. The common denominator is that everytime Taylor is in a close battle for the #1 and she does something to come on top you start crying. SZA has been on top for 3 weeks with Taylor 2nd and there is no feud whatsoever, now she is close and tries to overtake (and SZA answers rightfully) and suddenly is Taylor's fans who feel threatened.

Good for her, but no one's buying her alternative cover digital album lbr. Only Taylor gets away with it and it's purely thanks to a fan base she's been cultivating for 15 years with whom she has a parasocial relationship
