Planet Her is aging badly. Why?

Featured Replies

Planet Her is about to leave the top 100 sooner or later. Albums released before it on billboard 200 are above it. HTE and 30, both albums that people described as declines are above PH. On spotify Sour, Future Nostalgia and 1989 albums released before PH are outstreaming it in a year now

Why is the Moo singer's [dubbed as the new rihanna by her stans] biggest album in her career is aging badly rather quickly?

... "is aging badly" threads should be soft banned. Once someone posts a thread with that particular title, it should be posted hidden.

It was a bad album to begin with. The Teenage Dream of this era (overproduced, basic, sonically safe, and too desperate for a hit).

Because the album sounded incredibly dated upon release. The singles were quick fads fuelled by quick TikTok trends and 10 months of radio spammage. Its recurrents are horrid.

She is not the new Rihanna, she's the new Katy.

I love Doja, but she was lucky that the singles were huge, because that album is a mess. It had amazing longevity while the songs were smashing but once they started to fall off the album did too, she's no album artist. Still, it did amazingly well.

Y’all don’t even give albums time to age anymore; you immediately deem something an instant classic or wave it off entirely. Not every album needs to smash continuously forever and ever; it’s not sustainable. She got multiple hits from that album and it’s still doing well enough, chill

Y’all hate to see a black woman winning it’s really clear at this point. The album is doing just fine

…is it though?

If anything it would be because the album amassed so many hits that people just moved on quicker. I mean Olivia’s massive hits had recently left the top 200 on Spotify too, but I don’t think that makes them forgotten or aging badly.

mess Kiss Me More*

Still in the top 100 of Billboard and #6 for daily streams for women, this isn't bad at all :rip:

It’s not about to leave the Top 100 :deadbanana2: and Doja lacks pure sales. PH is outstreaming 30 and HTE easily on Spotify and AM.

She is not the new Rihanna, she's the new Katy.

But Katy made it to top money makers [multiple times] in her peak years but doja failed to with her biggest album yet :-*
