What markets did the boys break into? What barriers did it break? It didn’t even chart in the US. The Korean version only charted in 2 countries. 
 

Dynamite charted in 52 countries and went top10 in over 25. It has over 600 PAKs in Korea. How’s that not a “cultural moment”  “I don’t like the song” is not a valid argument.

The U.S. When did Times Square ever play K-pop before it? It didn’t get a global push from the label and chart points used to be way higher to hit the charts, but that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t popular here.

 

Dynamite was nowhere near breaking K-pop into any markets - it was too late. It wasn’t even close to being the song that broke BTS out in any markets because they had a plethora of hits already.

So far Enhypen and TXT's identity outside of being shadows of BTS is generic 2000s pop punk music, which I don't love.

seeing a GG, in general not just kpop, creating boy group level hysteria is so amazing to me. we never had that before ever. We have never seen a GG ever play 60k-80k venues let alone headline the biggest music festival in the world.

 

Even if you hate them to death you gotta admit they are going down in the pop culture history books
