NJ made the Best of 2022 by NYT, Rolling Stones & RYM. Their music is commonly acknowledged by even non-Kpop GP as "good." I don't think there's any debate about their quality  But of course, everyone's entitled to their (wrong) opinion

NewJeans music is not safe though. MHJ has taste in music. They have quite a distinctive soundscape for themselves already

 

IVE, on the other hand, is the T-ARA of their generation

No one in Kpop could ever pull off Attention - Cookie - Hype Boy the way NJ does whew!

 

Whats basic in Kpop is basically the tired noise sound, not whatever amazing pop girls like IVE and NJ make pls.

If anything’s innovative about NewJeans it’s the choreo. It’s v refreshing to watch kpop dances where they make so much eye contact and interact with each other rather than the ones where you can tell members are just counting down for their part in the center  it’s one of the reasons why you always hear people say they seem like a group of friends having fun

NJ is R&B influenced but a group like Flo still unknown, the truth true beside the music their image carried their success. LSRF has this boss ***** image to less extend than BP but they’re relatable and it’s easy to identify through them.
