And I was talking about vocal skills required in a LIVE setting. Momo and Kang Daniel also have pleasant tones (and for the later I listen to his music quite a lot) to me but I would be scared to hear either of them sing something without a heavy backing track / or a fullon prerecorded track.

You’re missing the point. 

IM not only talking about beautiful tones. The ones that I mentioned can also sing. Liz has proven that plenty of times when it’s just her singing acapella. And so have the other girlies I mentioned. Just because they haven’t gotten the chance to have a 100% live stage doesn’t mean you should ignore their abilities and lump the whole respective groups under “vocally talentless” category. 
 

And no one is calling Momo and Kang Daniel vocalists lmao. You’re insulting the girls I named by mentioning Momo in the same context.

this is actually no shade because I liked the last two NCT Dream comebacks (Beatbox + Candy) but how do they sell that many albums without going on a proper world tour, get no good streams on Spotify or no decent YT views?

also I absolutely despise BTS but I‘m kind of shocked only them and Blackpink get HUGE streaming numbers on their b sides.

my thing is that the music is great but 1.) it’s not refreshing. maybe in a k-pop context but again….

 

2.) the music is so good that there’s really no reason for some fans to serve a pretentious tea

 

also the way the MHJ stuff just gets brushed over is weird bc she’s really the reason why the girls (myself included) were reluctant to even stream newjeans in the first place

debuting minors will always be worrying to me but people forget that the backlash comes from having them sing cookie in conjunction with them being minors  

 

so while OMG is a great song and i’m sure the music video was interesting, MHJ and Ador hiding behind the group and shading people who had an issue with cookie is just nasty  i get that it should be expected from the music industry regardless of location but it’s still wrong

They focus in Asia, since Hot Sausage their singles do well in Korean charts, they sell decent in Japan even without a japanese debut and Jaemin has a big fanbase in China. 

 

And the YT and spotify it's an SM problem overall, none of their acts have big streams in those services.

Yeah the ages still bother me and Cookie bothered me a lot, the statement made it worse for me because they were BSing

 

I’m casually into this group bc of their age, the songs so far are great and the videos make me miss the weirdness RV abandoned

i dont really like OMG nor is ditto hitting as hard as it did last week. Hype boy is still my favorite song of theirs. The melody just does not get old for me

The way NewJeans has the best lore out of the groups that has lore concept
