single albums and minis with multiples singles make sense for ggs since they’re mostly about selling singles and they can be sold as physicals too but i’d love for ive and newjeans to do a full album at the end of the year with like 8 new songs + all the singles to make an album full of smashes

you act like there aren’t any kids shows or minor stars in the world outside of Korea  it’s wrong in many ways, but it’s something I don’t think anyone would be able to change and I also believe it’s regulated in some ways

 

meanwhile you hear about se*ual abuse, bullying, drugs and other issues in the western industires and almost all more known former child starts there have mental issues and in Korea you’re out of the group if you had some „bullying” records at school  I don’t really think it’s possible to compare the culture here, one is not like the other

the one thing I’m concerned about is Armys using NewJeans to drag BP and it’s not because they are my ult group, but some mindless Blinks will go after literal kids to punch back  poor NewJeans girlies in the middle of the two worst fanbases

Don’t give starship ideas at least for NJ they can call it a visual album 

The companies need to realise more albums = more touring.

Uhm you can’t really put it on the difference in culture as if it should be a norm for all these 13 year olds to be debuting.
 

There are cases of all those things happening in the west with child stars yes but it’s definitely not as pushed and at the forefront of the industry as it is in Korea and even then at least their parents are usually there every step of the way.

 

Like a reminder these idols were not even double digits in 2019 and they have to train pretty vigorously for at least 2/3 years before debuting. I feel that certain laws in the west prevent Korea’s level of exploitation on these kids

Agree. I've come to like Ditto more, but overall this release is for sure a step down from the slay of Attention + Hype Boy

I’m sure it’s just an illusion, kids are exploited everywhere around the world, in some countries they are even forced to work for free to even get food. I’m not saying it’s something that should be accepted, of course a systematic change is needed. Also we’re talking just about Korea which is small in size in comparison to the rest of the world and I can assure you that almost every country has kids labour issues. Because each country has AT LEAST child stars, actors, musicians and so on. Not to mention bad living conditions in general in some places. It’s just that you’re focusing on that particular industry and we have a pretty good insight in there so it looks like a big issue from that perspective.

 

Some people need to stop being fake concerned over the kids that are working hard to chase their dreams (just like you said - in most of the cases kpop idols are training because they have such will and they pay a lot of money to train dancing and singing). We can just hope that they are taken proper care of, because I don’t think anything will change in that matter as long as the kids will keep coming and their parents will allow that.
