Riize basically just feels like another NCT unit, since they have have the exact same sound with 7 members as well and literally 2 NCT members debuting in it  

Shotaro and Sungchan shouldn't had debuted in Riize, since people will always associate those 2 with NCT, with them already being established and having the big NCT following. I don't understand why this Riize lineup just couldn't be the last NCT unit instead, and then start completely fresh with completely new trainees like they are doing with this upcoming NCT unit? Like I wouldn't be surprised if Riize ends up feeling more like an NCT unit than the actual upcoming new NCT unit itself 

 

The fact that we won't be getting a new SM bg that isn't associated with NCT until 6th gen probably

I’d say it’s the pattern for 90% of boy groups. They debut with an awful song and keep putting awful music out for the first two or so years, they build a fanbase at the time by selling sex to teenage girls and then they serve one or two passable songs and it elevates them to superstardom. We literally just watched it with Stray Kidz.

 

It’s honestly so easy to make boy group content because it’s less about making good music and more about just making them seem like someone you’d want to date.

That is true but I think the difference now is that the market is so saturated and SM is not the unrivaled biggest player anymore. So even though people maybe hated EXO debut they quickly became addicted (or idk exo are just special ♥️) 

Jk but the trajectory of EXO and NCT careers was super different...NCT didnt have the level of gp or fan support till like two years ago. For Riize it's going to be even more difficult unless they really bring something fresh to the market.

I still wonder what happened to the NCT Japan subunit Shotaro was supposed to be a part of and why it fell through

Please, when has SKZ ever marketed themselves as a group selling "sex". When people think of Stray Kids they think of a rap focused group that produce their own music etc.

Yeah the SKZ members are some of the most sexualized male idols in the industry, but that's not because of their marketing cause the members don't even show much skin etc. apart from like 2 members only. Some of the members don't even engage in fan service 

 

Some of you gg stans in here keep bringing up SKZ out of nowhere as if y'all can even name 5 songs from them, like just be quiet if you don't have a clue about a certain group

whew  jihyonce’s styling is exactly as I wanted it to be. She’s a server so she’ll serve to the gawds we already know that  let’s just hope the music matches too. Nayeonce’s solo has set high standards for me for other Twix solos.
