Selling 5M albums and having the best selling album in Kpop history. SKZ RICH, each member are about to be paid at least $1M with this upcoming album alone, since JYP is actually paying their artists with fair contracts. 

 

EXO in 2023: 

Unemployed, neglected and having financial issues. 

Anyways, EXO had so much potential, like the fact that they used to be considered BTS’ rival during 2016-2018 says a lot! SM really fumbled with them sadly.

They are not in the same situation though, since JYP contracts are usually very fair and pay their artist good money. TWICE mothers are probably getting an even bigger % now, since the contract renewal last year. 

 

I read somewhere that each SKZ member are about to be paid $1M each with this upcoming album alone, with 3Racha getting even more due to them producing the songs etc.  

 

Maybe EXO had enough of SM’s unfairness when they saw how much money idols from YG and JYP are making right now. Like albums sales are at an all time high right now which means idols should be making way more bank, but somehow SM idols are still underpaid  

I hope SM becomes a thing the past and every artist under that company gets freed! Especially Hyoyeon, like I just now she isn’t getting a dime!  At least she comes from a rich background I think?

Not saying she’s flop proof but I doubt most of the big 4 would even know how to manage her. With YG no comebacks, JYP lackluster material and Hybe she might as well not even show up to the studio because they’re gonna auto tune the **** out her voice.

Yes it was sometime around 2014, though the recommendations had started from at least 2013, after the court cases (including JYJ's).

 

SM's old contract style was a super long slave contract basically. But they get around the rules now through contract extensions.

RV still has over a year of contract time left, so they won't do anything this year, unless someone is suing.
