Lover is approaching this territory on the strength of its recurrent streams

Backstreet Boys' Millennium has to be up there :deadbanana4:

For females, Come On Over, for pop girls probably Oops!... I Did It Again.

Yeah actually pretty much every teen boy fad falls into this category, 1D, Jonas Brothers, etc. The "eras" are massive but they rarely get a #1 smash hit, both Justins needed to transition to adult popstars before they were able to.

Surprised nobody mentionned Fearless, an album with over 20M units.

Biggest overall:

Born in the U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen (1984)

- 30M+ ww sold

- #1 all around the world (#1 year end US)

- 17x Platinum in the US & NZ, 14x Platinum in Australia, Diamond in Canada

- 7 Singles that all went Top 10 on the Hot 100 (the most amount along with Thriller and Rhythm Nation; only surpassed by Drake in 2021)

- massively successful global stadium tour

By pop girl:

Idk, maybe Jagged Little Pill or Come on Over

Parachutes

A Rush of Blood to the Head

X&Y

Mylo Xyloto

Ghost Stories

A Head Full of Dreams

Globally anyway...

Lover for the late 2010s too.

Shania’s Come On Over is probably the answer for women.  Overall Pink Floyd’s Dark side of the moon.

other notable eras include: Jagged Little Pill, Let Go, Ray of Light, Fearless, and Future Nostalgia.

Oops I did it again

I'd go with this as well.

Wait Come on Over didn’t have #1 hits?

If then that’s it.

also

From what I remember reading Thriller(single) never went #1, but idk if some other singles of that album went #1.

If not, then Thriller is all time

Breakaway

Loser (considering how well is doing it streams-wise)

Billie Jean went #1.

It’s definitely Come on Over and then Jagged Little Pill.
