Incredible album! I feel like it's underrated these days because it's her debut and she's released other great projects since, but it truly holds up with some of her best. It would be a perfect album if Pretend and Thug Cry didn't ruin the streak of 10/10 songs :mandown:

This is honestly one of the top 5 best albums of 2014. The quality and artistry she put into this. :clap3: RCA really ****** up her transition trying to make her go bubblegum pop immediately after this masterpiece. Their loss. :gaycat4:

Enough time has passed to say this is cute and even though it absolutely should not have been the 2nd single, it still deserves a few snaps 

 

The start of my Tinashe journey and the album that opened me up to listening to albums as a whole body of work. 

 

To say this album changed my life is an UNDERSTATEMENT! :chick3:

no like it’s criminally underrated and truly one of the best debut albums of all time

Ahead of its time. This was lowkey the blueprint for albums like CTRL, the H.E.R. albums, the Kehlani albums and Summer Walker albums that later came.

She deserved to be HUGE after this

What I love is that it elevated the sound from her mixtapes and I got who she is as an artist: moody, alternative R&B mixed with hip-hop and pop. I appreciate that she's still remaining true to this sound. 

 

Favorites: All Hands On Deck, Bet, Feels Like Vegas, Cold Sweat, Wildfire, 2 On and Aquarius. 

 

Pretend shouldn't have been single #2 and they moved on to the next era too soon, but the album itself is quality and I listened to the CD for MONTHS!
