This is one of the most hilarious and ridiculous things I've ever read on here :rip:

Only time will tell? I also listed the comparison of Celine Dion, one of the biggest artists of all time girl.

not this when Folklore part 4 is coming next month

Folklore —> Evermore alone has more variety than all of Adele’s albums combined :deadbanana4:

Yes, she will most likely continue declining rapidly. Even if she changes things up I don’t think it will help much. Like if she goes to dance music people will only be interested initially due to the change in sound but people don’t want that from Adele lbr. But they’re also tired of the classic Adele sound. Not sure how she’ll turn it around, though it’s not impossible. Perhaps something midtempo and heartfelt but still with a totally new sound in terms of production would work?

Girl, Adele could never sell another record in her life and still wouldn't be comparable to Susan Boyle and Norah Jones (who aren't even comparable to each other), the post just made no sense :rip:

i know but in reality it sold 5M pure in 2021 (according to IFPI)

It was debunked so many times that 30 did not sell 5M pure, IFPI includes shipments :bam:

She will decline even further if she doesn't change her sound, 30 truly has poor longevity :deadbanana4:

I didn't know she released another single :rip:

Yeah that show how much of a flawp it was :rip:

Depends on how she approaches them. If she goes on another long break and returns with another piano ballad I would expect her to decline quite a bit

People really need to stop comparing Adele to the likes of Norah Jones and Susan Boyle. It makes zero sense. Adele was one of the defining artists of an entire decade. She’s a global icon and a household name at all ages. She has major celebrity power. Whether she will have more successful eras remains to be seen, but she will always be able to sell out large venues and tours easily even if she never releases another song.

Funniest thing is that another Swiftie again making such comments

Her next lead would have to be massive straight out of the gate like Hello and she would have to employ some kind of strategy that would garner a lot of buzz. One of the issues I had with 30 is the promotional campaign. I hated it. It felt dated in the digital age. A bunch of 30s around the world, really? They should have just dropped her album Nov 2020 as a surprise release all started by a countdown on her website. That would have benefited her a lot more because she would have had a reason not to promote it. Lowkey, I think a 2020 release is what benefited Folklore.

Where Adele (and Columbia) won is most of her sales are physical; she outsold all of her peers within months with physical sales. Technically speaking, most people who would stream her album own it so they have no reason to stream it. Then there is those who don't care to stream it but certainly aren't going to buy it because they own some type of streaming service. Her music is not streaming worthy and she already knows that. She literally told Zane people wanted her to make a Tik Tok album for 14-year-olds and she refused.

Her flopping would be better judged if physical sales were still a thing. It's hard to judge otherwise because the fact that she sold as much as she in physical copies is nothing to sneeze at. Did she flop on streaming? That's hard to say because who expected her music to appeal to streamers? It should also be noted that she made more money off of music than her peers.

that fanbase has been delusional, not surprising that user isnt making sense

Releasing in November 2020 would be even worse for her like you said she relied on physical sales and that was exactly the peak of pandemic, everything was shut down. I don't buy that her music is not streaming friendly considering 21 and 25 have almost 5B stream each on Spotify, and EOM did surpass 1B. It's just 30 in general sucks and has no replay value.

No, everyone would have been at home and had no choice but to sit with her music. 30 is an album you sit with. They still could have ordered the CD to own. Also that would have been better if she didn't want to promote it because covid would have given her a reason not to tour just yet.

Obviously especially if she keeps taking 5 year breaks and refuses to launch anymore singles outside of her lead

this and she needs to redeem herself of her track record of live performance/tour cancellations

yes she will keep declining but thats normal. when you have albums like 21 and 25 in your catalog its practically impossible to live up to that level of success

This. She outsold everyone else's entire careers with two albums.

idk, but 30 flopped soooo bad, how many weeks did it spent top 10, like 4? :skull:

It spent 16 weeks in the top 10...

Anyway, if she insists on taking these long ass breaks, she will but it's not only that, she keeps abandoning the eras after a couple of weeks like you cannot take long ass breaks and not put some effort into promoting your ****.

Well, it felt like it did 4...

bold of you all to assume there will be more eras.

maybe she'll release 40 but that will do worse than 30 and she'll retire forever

This is not true. :bam:

However, total monthly consumer spending on music decreased by more than 45% compared to pre-pandemic, with live music events and physical sales being the most severely affected. Surprisingly, music consumption in hours also decreased during the lockdown even though consumers spent more time at home.

She's forreal over, and I'm being objective.

Next lead will be top 5 debut, might sneak top 10 for 8 weeks or so cause of radio payola but album will do TERRIBLE. 4 weeks top 10, that's it.

yes, her artpop era is about to start with her new album, she's so narcisist and egocentric

It really depends on Adele. the less interest she shows in her career and sound, the lower the chances of her rebounding. 30 didnt do too well for any standards mostly because she just didnt do anything.

if anything, she'll probably retire after Vegas and have like five kids. Which would be just fine atp- its clear she still doesnt like the whole entertainment industry so there is no need to expect more from people when they really dont want it.
