Will Adele continue to fall in the future eras?

Featured Replies

I think her career with adopt like Gaga's did after Artpop. So she will pull similar number to 30, more or less.

I am sure most of us do know that Adele is not touching 25 numbers ever again. But do you think she might outperform 30 by a good margin in the future? Like 8M-10MSPS.

With the comeback hype gone and wasted on an underwhelming album that the GP quickly grew tired of, it's a safe bet she will keep declining.

Honestly, I think she'll continue to slide. All I can say for certain is that she will not be getting an Easy On Me sized hit next era, and who knows what 30 would've looked like without EOM. She'll still have a decent number of people who buy her albums (including my mother) but they aren't as likely to stream so the longevity and total units might be far worse.

Obviously especially if she keeps taking 5 year breaks and refuses to launch anymore singles outside of her lead

No, she's established herself. She'll always have hype for lead singles.

The next era will be a decline from 30, as she won’t be riding on the tail end of the two biggest releases of a decade. She may find stability after that, though. Nobody stays on top forever, but her name and reputation still carry weight and will ensure that she still sells enough to be chart-relevant. She’s also got talent and the ability to make music people like, too - that will also keep her in the picture.

Yeah if she keeps making same album over and over again. 21, 21 part 2, 21 part 3 is enough.

Um where the hell is the I Drink Wine music video that allegedly was going to cause a huge Halloween costume trend

She really ****** up this era. It will depend on the music but if it’s another #30 then she will probably take a hit.

yes she will keep declining but thats normal. when you have albums like 21 and 25 in your catalog its practically impossible to live up to that level of success

I would be surprised if her next album crossed 300k units in the US on its debut week.  She has lost the momentum, and the quality is not there to drive sales.

If she continues to take 6 year breaks there is absolutely no way her next albums will cross 10m units.  30 might not even cross 10 million units.

I dont mind she declines for next era as long as she completes her EGOT status. Not everyone can have that :cm:

I think her next album will have a top 10 one week and be a moderate hit.

She will probably debut with 400k sps and will have successfully overall era.

Actually, 30 is only somewhere past 6 million real SPS units (no unsold shipments allowed) :deadbanana: It’ll take a very long time to reach 10 million at the rate it’s going. Almost unbelievable honestly :rip:

30’s first week sales posted a 75% decline from 25’s first week sales, so her next album would open with roughly 210k if it has a similar rate of decline. I do believe her next album will struggle to do 300k first week, but 210k does sound a bit low.

I guess we’ll find out in 2025-2030.

she'll have a celine dion type of career where the hits will stop coming but the albums will still sell a decent amount

Yeah. She's over.

The only chance she has left is to put everything she has in her to come up with something that critics will eat up.

Or if she's getting a movie soundtrack smash.

She's not really known for being versatile tho. People will eventually get tired of the same thing and she'll be just fabulous for a throwback.

Pulling similar numbers to 30 seems a major accomplishment for the next era. She will probably do significantly less than that.

Yes, she'll continue to decline naturally. I don't think she's "over" (let's not be dramatic :skull:), there will always be some hype around her, people will wait for their Adele ballad that they'll play over and over, and she'll continue to sell decently.

She is not very versatile. Hello sounds like a bad mixture of Someone Like You and Set Fire to the Rain.  I think something more calm and similar to Chasing Pavements could provide a hit.  But Easy on Me sounds similar to Chasing Pavements but a like worse version of it. She really needs to come up with something smart.

honestly she will never release music ever again i think
