One month ain't that much difference. Lana has a fanbase while Adele mostly has the GP.

Gen Z doesnt care about Adele.  

the gp can't get enough of Brooklyn Baby, which I think is better than any song on 25

is this daily stream or total stream?

Lana has a younger fanbase more likely to stream. I’m a big Adele fan, but I’m still using AC radio like a geriatric.

Lana's success on streaming is actually insane, like Ultraviolence will end up at 10M units eventually in the long-run because of it  

Adele is irrelevant nowadays and Lana Del Rey's music aged better.

It’s fascinating to watch Lana slowly become a more significant force on daily and weekly streaming lists. Lana definitely appeals to demographics more likely to stream. I also think that if we look back ten years ago, people expected things from Adele that became more true of Lana in terms of the ways in which each of them influenced other artists and the quality of their output. Lana is a force of nature who even today, even as she gets more attention, is perhaps the most underrated artist currently working, in my opinion. Outside of spaces like ATRL and industry reviews I really don’t think her work is discussed enough.

Adele is a fad and the most forced thing to ever happen in music. Noone uses Adele unless they Need it for a ig aesthetic. Also read my signature. 

 

Lana is slowly starting to gain traction. Talent Originality and PERSONALITY WON. even to  this day, I don't know who Adele is.

Ultraviolence has actually been a dark horse this past year, slowly outstreaming all the bigger pop releases from back in 2014. It’s closing in on the Top 20 based on chartmaster’s total streams, would never have expected it to outlast everything else back then.

I’m so happy for Lana. She has gained so many new fans without even trying, just by the quality of her music. She’s gained a lot of young fans also who tend to stream.

If you would’ve told me back in 2014 that 8 years later, Ultraviolence would be finally get its flowers I never would’ve believed you. I’ve never seen such a delayed peak for an artist before and I’m so happy, she deserves! 

Seems weird that Adele gets skinny and flops and lana gets thique and smashes… coincidence? 

LDR has a timeless discography, more so than most MPGs. She has a hold on an entire generation. Adele also does to an extent, but 25 in particular didn’t quite meet the high expectations. As another user said, she has the GP (and the GP can be very fickle) 

Adele's trash music aged horribly. 

What about apple Music?

Lana is much more influential than Adele, so this makes sense.

Adele's music is all the same piano ballads and quite boring. I don't see why anyone would stream her outside of her hits. Lana at least at an interesting collection of songs.

Cuz Lana is freshly breaded and perfectly fried chicken - it’s  a little hard to make, but it’ll worth the taste. 

 

while Adele is frozen and microweaved chicken  Easy, accessible but not very good for your gut and tongue! 

I always assumed Ultraviolence was maybe Lana's least streaming friendly album but I was proven so wrong

Adele's fans don't stream, they play one of the 22.000.000 copies of 25 out there
