It's obvious at this point that this song won't be a quick smash, Demi has never had a solo song on radio that sounded anything like this and their last radio hit is years past.

 

What matters the most is that many radio stations pick it up and gradually increase their rotation of the song.

Woo, this song is really good! She's kinda serving what I wanted Avril to serve with Love Sux: a return to pop/rock roots but in a more mature way, without losing the magic touch that still made the original pop/rock sound iconic. So far this album looks like it's going to be more of a Under My Skin and less of a TBDT.

Music video has 2.8M views in less than a week. 

Skin of my teeth has 3.4M views after a month. 

 

Can't blame SOMT though, the problem with the audio makes it unwatchable. Can't believe they fixed it for a while but it's back again. 

 

 

The general reaction to her rock music has been amazing. Most people seem to be enjoying her music a lot. Substance however is destroying SOMT in that aspect. I've seen a few rock blogs praising it, something that I didn't see with SOMT.

There is something I don't understand... all this rock playlists and this rock sound yet they haven't sent it to alternative radio...  

Maybe they will send it if the song starts to grow on pop first.

Hmmm to be fair, it's not really her market and those radio stations tend to be very loyal to their usual artists

 

And also, even if Demi somehow made it in the top 20 there, it would only give her around 1 million audience

The whole era is just so try-hard for me, giving 12 year old girl wearing Metallica tee. Really hope the album is less juvenile in sound.

Radio will be the saving grace. This won’t become a hit on streaming until radio embraces it. Also forget iTunes that’s over and irrelevant
