The egg of the chicken? No. The chicken itselft evolved from a dinosaur. It then laid its own eggs.

The egg of the Tyrannosaurus Rex that evolved into a chicken? Yes, it came first.

That's literally what I said tho

 

But now that I think about, it may be more complicated.

The original animal doesn't just evolve into a chicken during its life time. The gene mutation takes effect on its descendents aka eggs.

Meaning, those eggs will start the mutated animal = chicken. Technically the egg is already of a chicken not yet born, so it did come first. /DEBUNKED

the way i actually LOL’d at the meme 

egg. a chicken can't just appear out of nowhere, it has to be hatched. the chicken's ancestor laid an egg which contained genetic information of the chicken, from which the chicken was hatched eventually. 

well evolution is a myth that's been debunked so.....the chicken. god created the chicken and allowed it to lay eggs
