If you’re suggesting it’s Bey then no

Now y’all know Brandy is the vocal stacking queen. Don’t forget!

I loved watching her recording process videos when she dropped them. She’s very meticulous & has a great ear.

Considering Brandy and Beyoncé still exist, no.

I’ll accept Brandy but nope for Bey.

:rip::rip: you're either setting ariana up or you need to listen to more poc vocalists because...

She's the best of her generation, Beyoncé has a 20+ years career.

Ariana's tone is my favourite ever and her knowledge is incredible.

The way she recorded all the choir vocals of I Wont Say Im In Love alone with her home mic and edited them herself :jonny6: no pitch correction, no help from others, no studio magic, just her and her raw talent :clap3:

I'd say she's better than Mariah from personal preference. Mariah's stacking and harmonies really were only present from Daydream onwards, Ariana has been doing that sh*t even on her poppiest tracks!

When one of Bey's undisputed distinctive traits are her impeccable harmonies, and yet you're here with your zero knowledge saying otherwise.

The nerve of these people :skull:

And one of Ariana’s undisputed distinctive traits are her impeccable harmonies as well. What about it? I’ve literally listened to every Bey song, am a huge fan and have seen her live and yet nope. She doesn’t have Ariana’s range there who stacks up layers all the way up to her whistle register. Give up your stan ego.

Janet is and even Brandy would agree

Janet’s music is better than Ariana’s but her lowercase singing got nothing on Ari pls. :rip: Ari can do all of this, Janet cant do what the OP shows.

In the Someone to Call My Lover acapella, in the background you can hear her doing both the low AND high octave notes during the ooooh parts. Plus lower vocal harmonies/stacking are some of the hardest notes to do. It's not just always about high notes. Ask a music teacher with ears and experience and they will tell you this (which I did in my case when I use to do vocal lessons).
