I'm shocked. Nicki Minaj turned down the chance to feature on Get Into It (Yuh) and Industry Baby but agreed to record a verse for Jesy Nelson's Boyz? Why would she turn down two bonafide hits from artists who actually stan her?

i remember that nicki turned down get into it not cause she didnt believe in the song but cause she didnt think she could bring anything into it

also on industry baby i think the fact that lil nas x had a little stan acc and said the most vile things about nicki and worked with cardi didnt help him get her in a song  

and lastly, nicki had already worked with jesy before when she did woman like me with little mix so i think thats why she hopped on her track

Well she turned down Doja because she’s jealous of her. She did Say So because Doja wasn’t as big as her at the time. Now that Doja’s bigger than Nicki she’d never go for it. Lil Nas X she turned down probably for the same reason, he became bigger than her, plus the fact that he collaborated with Cardi.

 

But yeah where is NM5? She promised it would be out by summer at the latest. Beyoncé is gonna dominate July and August, so she wont be releasing in the next couple of months. So has she missed her window (AGAIN)? 

 

It looks bad for her when Drake, Beyoncé, Kendrick etc. are able to just drop albums out of nowhere like it’s nothing, but Nicki seems to struggle. Maybe her label doesn’t believe in her.

This excuse screams BS in my humble opinion. The song sounds like a future classic and she would've received a sizeable cheque. She has jumped on worse songs in the past but now she wants to serve artistic integrity?

Came to post this. It’s like how she had no issue collabing with Cardi until Cardi overshadowed her entire career with one album. She dropped Meg when Savage and WAP smashed etc etc. 
 

She’s deeply insecure/paranoid and will only surrounds herself with losers for their loyalty. I mean, look at her husband.

Yes, she has lost her ear for hits (if she ever had one). 

 

Megatron is proof of that, the song sounded dated on arrival. Her material as a lead is wack.

She shines more on other people's songs.

I will say that her taste in her own singles has nosedived since Queen. Megatron, Yikes, DWHAP, Bussin... all bombs.

Umm…. This would make sense if she didn’t ask doja’s team to send her another song…. She also texts doja and likes tweets of doja …. So where is the bitterness

Yikes! Yeah, we not getting an album anytime soon.  I was doubtful even before Bey dropped, but now she has an excuse not to drop lol.  
 

OT: I mean, love her, but her Pop taste has always been a bit Mehhhh.  
 

 

I actually agree with her in turning them down. Those songs were already hits without her and I don’t think production wise they suit the sound she’s been going for.
