Nothing. She got the number 1 year-end album of 2021. Who cares after that.

Morgan can snatch YE #1.

At all. :rip: Promo STOPPED weeks after the album came out. She even has a music video sitting, waiting… she just said I think that’s enough!

Ya… charts, promo… she hates it, i’m sure. I could understand why.. i’m sure she’s just like “I’m so proud of this album.. let me just release it to the world, it’s gonna do what it does and reach who it’s meant to. The end!”

She just didn’t care at all for the era. She only promoted Easy On Me 2 times, released those 2 special concerts before album release, and called it a day.

The weirdest part is that 21 was always charting on BB200 since its release, then it obviously got a boost when EOM/30 were initially released, but then a few weeks later it got punched out of BB200. 30 was really damaging to her career or at least the "scandals" surrounding it.

I don’t understand why Ms Adkins hasn’t released ‘I Drink Wine’ as a single yet

It’s an awaiting smash on HAC radio format bookmark me.

Nah. Oh My God isn't relatable as an Adele single. It didnt click.

So why did 21 stop charting? New albums usually give older albums boosts instead of tanking them. This era was rather damaging to her image. I was one of the few people saying that Vegas cancellations won't matter, but I think I was wrong.

It did give a boost to 21 though.

it did, but then things turned sour and 21 isn't charting anymore, while it was charting pretty much non stop before 30

Is it really close to 8M SPS? Source? I mostly use Chartmasters and they have not updated 30 whole SPS.

It’s not. No reputable source has claimed that, even for shipments as opposed to sales.

Nothing went wrong?

She lmakes the music she wants, when she wants and she doesn't give a f**k about anything else. She's a winner in every possible way.

The same thing that happens to every other artist. They have a sales decline. IDK why anyone thought Adele would have 21/25 numbers in the streaming era.

The overreactions :gaycat6:

On paper, everything about 30 is still a big success.

The +800k debut, over 5M units sold globally as per IFPI who also placed it as the #1 album of 2021, Adele herself being the 3rd biggest artist of the year, the 88/100 Metascore

Plus "Easy On Me" is an undeniable smash and another addition to her classic hits repertoire.

And based on the competition so far, it also looks like Adele is headed towards another Grammy sweep next year.

Sure, the album didn't have much longevity, but all in all it still did very well.

A Katy-during-Witness like scenario, this most definitely is not. :rip:

Boring material. I was one of few people to predict the era would be short-lived and an underperformance based on the lead single Easy On Me alone. It just doesn't even have the star quality that her previous leads had, and the album proved to be even more boring than I expected. She's still iconic and did incredible for anyone's standards, but to her own commercially and artistically it was definitely underwhelming.

I wanna stress that she's still doing amazing compared to literally everyone else, as she is Adele and will probably win many grammys next year! I was just talking strictly relative to herself and her previous albums.

Why did 30 damage her career?

She had Hello and When We Were Young which are classic Adele songs. She also Send My Love which would've been something different for her, changing up her formula a bit.

Because 21 stopped charting

Nothing really :coffee2:

Kinda sad that she/her laber gave up on the album/era already though. I Drink Wine and Can I Get It deserved to smash

People are on "Born This Way" level denial here. Of course 30 damaged her wonderful streak of slayage.

She better not wait that long and serve another mediocre album because I am afraid the goodwill towards her is already half way gone.

The decline from 25 to 30 is pretty big. Obviously sales climate has to do with it but year end chart of 25/30 and Hello/Easy On Me are big difference. Overall 30 is a great success and it’s even better because majority of its units are from pure sales. Her next album will be very interesting. I don’t see her repeating 800k again. I love Adele and I hope she continues to release more often.
