21 for all

21 is of course a beautiful era with some beautiful songs, but it has nothing that would even begin to compare to the title track, Video Games, Radio, and Without You. those songs just have this inexorable sort of magic that Lana has mastered like no other, with Kate being the only exception imo!

Born to Die was a complete cultural reset across the board: production, tone, lyrics, image, videography...just the entirety of Lana's aesthetic in that moment in time.
