So we’ve had several huge male artists drop in the past several weeks including Future, Kendrick, Jack for rap, and Harry Styles for pop. The general consensus is that Future slayed, Kendrick slayed but didn’t have great longevity, and Harry absolutely obliterated everyone. Jack has a #1 single with his album and despite not quite as huge numbers, is seemingly at a current career high.

 

So to continue straight ahead, Post’s album drops this Friday, 6/3. One Right Now ended up doing decent on pop radio and remaining on the charts but overall did not serve a very memorable chart run and only went top 10 when it debuted back in the Fall/Winter, never returning since. Cooped Up did not even go Top 10, bogged down by Kendrick & Future. The general consensus rn is that Post is about to underperform. Do you think he will hugely underperform, or pull through and have a decent opening/longevity?

To answer OP it's gonna be a catastrophic bomb compared to his last albums since there's no hype or hits. Kinda insane how nobody is talking about him anymore when he was so massive in 2018-2019.

 

In my opinion, most people will be streaming. 

 

If it will stick or not, it just depends on how good the album will be.

He’ll do ok, but will definitely be a underwhelming follow up to three massive albums 

I see him doing around 140k, and one of the songs might me a medium sized hit, longevity will depend on the quality

I think he will do 150k at most which is not that good but he has been struggling to get a hit the past 2 years, so unless something in the album clicks the album will fall into oblivion the weeks after.

That’s a huge bomb…. He’s sold 300k+ his last albums

Hollywoods bleeding is still top 20 on the bb 200. It depends on if the album is good 

It will for sure be a decline I sense zero hype for this new one 

His label is not promoting him at all. It's really weird 

Him flopping out of nowhere still is super weird to me. It's just that simply no one cares anymore?

As of the album, obviously it'll have an underwhelming debut for his standards but we never know how things will turn out. Maybe there's a hidden smash on it and he just picked the wrong singles?
