Both pop girls delivered a modern disco album that the GP ate up. Which one was better?

COADF is a classic and masterpiece. Future Nostalgia is a very successfully executed 80s dance pop throwback album. :deadbanana2:

This will be an old vs. young gays thread

Madonna’s “Confessions” shook the whole world with the Hung Up - Sorry 1-2 punch bag for like 6 months :WAP:

I fear ‘Sorry’ and ‘Let It Will Be’ are better songs than anything Dua’s discography has to offer.

Not sure about bigger era though, both had huuuuge singles in Europe that did slightly worse in America. Both Hung Up and Levitating are 2 of the biggest songs of all time though (even though one had to use a remix to achieve it).

Not necessarily. A lot of young people love Confessions and there's quite a bit of Madonna/Dua hybrids. I only expect the Liddos to vote for FN cause they try to sabotage any poll with Madonna in it.

:giraffe:

Confessions is superior in every single way, from the aesthetic down to the music itself.

FN has the horrendous Good in Bed and Boys Will Be Boys which are both so bad that they drag it from a 10/10 album to a 7/10 :skull:

I love both albums but Confessions is a masterpiece ! A career highlight

I stan both these talented women and love these albums to death but went with my day 1 idol

FN is a great album and should be compared to Confessions

Confessions came out of nowhere and became the biggest female album released in 2005. Everyone was talking about it and buying it.

The tour is also Dua can only dream to achieve bless her heart.

I like Confessions but to me, FN is a bigger/better album.

FN felt like a bigger era. Confession is a timeless classic, though, and it's better than FN. Both are good, though.

Both are incredible and Dua's best while being Madge's Top 2. This is hard but ...

Bigger? FN

Better? FN

Better Artistry? COADF

Dua’s album is good but COADF is like legendary. :deadbanana:

COADF by far, the other one is garbage and has no artistry at all. :rip:

K bye for now, Sunshine. <3

COADF, while great and I understand the love, is kinda overrated in the grand scheme of Madonna's discography. I've always assumed because it was a lot of people's entry into Madonna's music.

Future Nostalgia isn't perfect (it would be if it was a 9-track album!), but I'd vote for it over COADF.

I think Future Nostalgia is bigger because it has two enormous smashes (Don’t Start Now & Levitating) while also having cute hits like Break My Heart, Physical. Confessions has one enormous smash and one cute hit. FN will definitely end up shifting more units WW (if it hasn’t already done so).

However, the fact that Confessions came 20 years into Madonna’s career makes its smashery even more impressive.
