It’s interesting, everyone was delighting in the ME!ss: the song being terrible, “hey kids spelling is fun!”, the shenanigans to get it to #1 like discounts and performance rehearsal vinyl pressings, the “Mayochella” Twitter draggings, etc. But I think Folklore and Red TV/ATW10’s unprecedented stompage kind of memory holed and dulled the impact of its disastrous single run. WTH actually debuted at #13. It went on to peak at #11 a few weeks later.
