I live in a second floor of a condominium apartments building
I was holding my cat and cuddling with him, just hanging out with my mom-dad in the morning, when she suddenly felt something weird and then BAM — the earthquake hit. My phone immediately started going off with emergency alerts-sound. I was ready to go out with mom-dad but my dad went to his room to put on shoes,pants, a tshirt, and everything else, which honestly lowkey pissed me off because I was like, "We need to Leave now damn" 😭 My mom just froze there waiting for him, and when I realized the shaking was going on and on and wasn't stopping, I finally told her, "We need to get out mom NOW!. Let's go . We cant wait no more"

So instead of calmly walking out, I started running cause we lost so much time. I was charged with so much adrenaline, slipped on the stairs probably cause i was wearing my old damaged crocs and tumbled down them twice, hitting my forehead. I got back up fast, grabbed my cat again, and ran outside with my mom. My dad finally came out about a two minutes later 😭 lol

When I touched myself.... i was all covered in blood like the petal video, I almost passed out from the anxiety, but my mom immediately checked me and realized the injury wasn't as bad as it looked. I ended up going to the ER later, a nurse treated me, and I got stitches.

I was in a tropical city near the affected coffee region areas — not one of the 4 main ones and it was very strong here. Not building collapsed here but it was so eerie. The earthquake was felt across pretty much the entire country. Border to Border

I also have family-uncles-cousin in Pereira, the city impacted the most (all the vids from twitter are mostly from there), and their homes are basically gone. They lost everything, and some of the places where they worked were destroyed too. Theircars. Their things. They have to rebuild their lifes back. It's honestly terrifying.

This whole thing is making me seriously reconsider living in an earthquake-prone area. I dreamed about livin in California and now im like hmmmmm Sometimes we see wars, natural disasters, and tragedies happening on the news and they feel so so distant, but when something like this actually happens to you, it's a completely different experience. you have no words. this is one of the reasons why philanthrophy is really important...You dont feel the things goin on directly but theyre happening and for someone their world is just over
like those tornadoes in the states, the heatwaves from europe, the palestine,israeli situation, the hurricanes in south asia......
