:bibliahh:They are competing with the pop Girls while charting at #22 on the USA or at #22 on the UK.  Btw they are charting at #47 on the UK this week, WOW I'm sure Olivia Rodrigo is losing sleep over this unprecedent threat to her career.

Of course you’re focusing in the USA or the UK :ahh:This is embarrassing for a kpop thread tbh, it’s not like Korea, Japan and China are in top 10 of the biggest music markets of the world, right? :toofunny3: How they’re not competing when they’re the most streamed female act for the past 3 days? :toofunny3:

It’s a duet.

It’s bigger than ADT globally, you guys are focusing in the USA :deadbanana4: RUTH wasn’t released this year.

because Black Pink is focusing on the USA with the English songs and American promotions? You still seem confused, let me help you :gaycat3:

Both BP and BTS are carried by the fandom but their fandom and K-Pop in general is too big these days, I don’t think is a niche anymore. Locals may not stream the songs daily, but it’s quite impossible to escape songs like Pink Venom or Dynamite on social media. I mean Taylor Swift used Pink Venom on a TT with almost 40m views.

This was the post that started the conversation. I know you weren't talking about the Korean gp. And if we're discussing global music performance, Japan, the UK and the USA are the 3 biggest music markets. Blackpink are a top pop act in none of those countries.

They aren't the #1 female act or even #1 pop vocal girl group with the idol concept in ANY major market, not even in Korea. Where is this narrative that they're on the level of BTS even coming from? Is it coming from the same place as Black Pink's 3.5m first week sales? :gaycat3:

right, its pointless nn i'm done arguing for today

blackpink being a "colossal flop" but their faves aren't :toofunny3:

stream Hard to Love with me!

It's useless tbh, no matter what BP does they'll hate it

there's no point giving them the attention they desperately crave, let them keep barking

lol, I haven't stopped streaming the album

So one day we need to focus on how GLOBAL BP is but when that's not working we have to focus on Korea, Japan and China?? Countries that aren't representing globalness because those countries are big markets for the Kpop industry since a long Time ago.

I don't think you'll get it but let me explain, country music is a local genre because It is only successful in the USA. However sometimes country acts crossover to Canada. Does that mean country music is global?? I don't think so.

Who said that? :ahh: Both Dynamite and Pink Venom are global smash hits and that’s a fact. I never said it was bigger than Dynamite. The way you’re just making up things because you can’t come up with real arguments. :ahh: BP is a top pop act and the biggest girl group in the world. The streams, the sales and the tickets don’t lie.

:bibliahh:BTW you all think a TTH #1 spot means that SD is a super mega successful song with the GP is so naive:rip: Interscope clearly pushed them to the top spot.

Album is OUT

Tour starts in October

Jennie starring in "The IDOL" in November

the 1-2-3 PUNCH! we're being FED

You’re making good points but it must be noted that Black Pink completely flopped in Japan. It’s even worse than in the us.

I guess global doesn’t include Asian countries? I never said Pink Venom was the biggest song in English speaking countries, it’s GLOBALLY, and the BB charts agree. And it’s not like they’re flopping in the English speaking countries too, Pink Venom was #1 in Australia and #2 in Canada. I see why you’re keep bringing the UK and the USA. :ahh:

Ranking the Big 4 companies based on success right now and who has the least dead weight. I'm only including the active groups

1. HYBE

Succesful: BTS, TXT, Seventeen, Enhypen, NewJeans, Le Sserafim

Dead weight: Fromis_8

2. JYP,

Successful: TWICE, SKZ, ITZY, NMIXX

Dead weight: Xdinary Heroes

3. YG (If it wasn't for BP they would've been dead last, even behind Starship right now)

Successful: BLACKPINK, TREASURE

Dead weight: iKon, Winner

4. SM

Successful: aespa, NCT, Red Velvet, Taeyeon

Dead weight: There are just too many to count.

Maybe YG and SM should switch Idk

Baby, wtf is this :ahh:

SM is #1. #1 in album sales AND digitals.

HYBE is #2. #3 in digitals and #2 in album sales.

JYP is #3. #4 in digitals (soon to be #5) and #3 in physicals.

Starship is #4. #2 in digitals and #4 in physicals.

YG is #5. #5 in digitals (soon to be #4) and #5 in physicals (soon to be #4)

We need Rosé or Lisa in "Euphoria" and "Gossip Girl"

might as well keep it in the HBO family with Jennie in "The IDOL"

Omg sweetie, don't be silly I checked the Aria charts where Flop song ADT is charting at #12 after like 20 weeks of release while Mega smash hit single PV is #29. In Canada PV peaked at #4 not #2 and guess what?? It is charting at #37 as we speak. That's ofc behind FLOP Singles like Camila's Bam Bam.

But YAAAAS Global queens. Maybe thank YouTube Views for the #1 on the global 200.

You said "most successful female song of the year" not "successful female song released this year"

It's not either though :rip:

Just another country that values owning a Twice album in their hands more than burp pink me fears x2
