Both BP and BTS are carried by the fandom but their fandom and K-Pop in general is too big these days, I don’t think is a niche anymore. Locals may not stream the songs daily, but it’s quite impossible to escape songs like Pink Venom or Dynamite on social media. I mean Taylor Swift used Pink Venom on a TT with almost 40m views.

After YG doesn't renew their contracts. 4+ years of US promotions and they're rotting in the same US venues 2NE1 was booking before kpop was even known here. Huge investments(bought press, bought collaborations, paying to make sure they're on fashion advertisements and billboards), little return(US sales similar to aespa who can barely fill theaters here).
