Ι'm leaning towards Choirgirl these days. Pele is a close 2nd

But the quieter moments of FTCGH are the ones that stick most with me

Pandora, Playboy Mommy, Purple People... It's truly a mythology.

Pele is more sprawling and there are more ideas in it but for me it does drag at times (I know exhaustion is almost part of the point)

You said it yourself in the parenthesis haha

There are some qualities in Pele that simply cannot be replicated in any other way, excess saliva on recording, intentional off key moments, vocal stints etc that are abstract but also very planned and the album feels more like a journey - some days - than any of her other albums.

Other days, it's really a drag, that's its power. A descent to hell has to be excruciating.

Choirgirl is always there for you, classy rage wrapped in glittery angst trip hop.

Also since Strange Little Girls is getting reissued we should celebrate the best cover on it!

There's room for Pele and Choirgirl here, okay! I will always appreciate the depths that Tori goes in BFP. Sometimes that raw, merciless energy is needed. Choirgirl expands on that feeling, grief filling up every empty space, and polishes it into a 90's prog rock monolith. These are heavy hitters.

I always say Choirgirl and Pele are my two favourite albums, but I need to be in a specific mood for them. Scarlet's Walk is my most played album of all time, it's such an easy listen and much more accessible, although perhaps not as artistically accomplished as Choirgirl or BFP.

Scarlet is also my most listened to album. It always hits -- it's my comfort blanket in sonic form.

These days I've basically been playing Bliss on a loop. Such a powerful song about the urge to be free and the realization that you never truly are. Very Freudian.

Also, been thinking about getting "bliss of another kind" as a tramp stamp above my ass, because I think that would be funny. But maybe not.
