yeah, there's a weird sort of softness about it? I was thinking that looking at the artwork in the new vinyl, I feel like they've been trying to make her look a bit older than she is for ages and now that she is a bit older maybe they're playing it down a bit, I will never really understand how make up works

This is so true, because why did they have her in suits when she was only 17. She's 19 in the 10:35 mv and styled like a 35 year old rich aunty. I've always felt that her team missed the mark by not playing into the teen popstar trope. I think they were looking at Billie/Lorde and assumed that the new wave was for teen pop stars to have a more mature aura. Seeing Olivia smash so hard with a teeny bopper image must have been so confusing for them lol.

wasn't there a point where she had those really awful braids, i think first album sort of time? perhaps they did that and just thought better of ever doing it again lmao

They did all sorts of random **** lol. They started out with a dark, moody teenage vibe for her first EP and videos. Then in the YMBF era they continued with neutral colours but aged her up by always having her in suits, jackets and long coats for some strange reason. Then they tried to age her down again for her debut album, when they were in their diet Olivia era. She started styling her hair in braids and pigtails, wearing brighter colours, hair clips.

the shoot for the first album is really bad, she looks so weird and plasticky on the front cover. I'm not sure I've ever been happy with any of the artwork for the albums, I feel like they could all have been a bit more classy. there's a certain sense of "will this do?" about them, it's very basic hot girl pop star stuff without much thought put into it

The IUTTICF album cover and concept is so awful and poorly executed. She's deliberately going for a plasticky off-kilter, eerily perfect universe but it just doesn't work, and the songs have nothing to do with that anyway. SCTW deluxe is her first album cover that isn't tragic. It all goes back to not having a clear cohesive creative vision. There's always a randomness about the album covers, where they're trying for some vague concept that never quite lands, has nothing to do with the music and just looks tacky.

Yeah the new thing is nice isn't it! I've dutifully bought all the cds in the past but ngl theyre a bit embarrassing, I wouldn't have enjoyed buying them over the counter in an earlier era

Yassss to the Lollapalooza announcement! If her tour isn't going to be professionally filmed and streamed, then I'm happy with this. I hope it's a new set that paves the way for her new era.

I really hope she takes full advantage of Osheaga and Lollapalooza and makes it an event, not just an extension of the tour. She needs to serve new looks, new choreography, MPG budget, and perform a new single. It would be a wasted opportunity if she doesn't use it as a chance to level up like Sabrina did with Coachella.

She's now the first artist in over 40 years to win album of the year back-to-back at the Junos. Also won artist of the year and single of the year for the 3rd year in a row, pop album of the year for the 2nd year. She could have shown up and given a cute speech about being Canada down.

I disagree. She didn't attend iHeart Radio Awards either, despite having multiple nominations, and unlike the Junos, radio actually affects her career.

She sounds so mature here. She's really evolved into a graceful, elegant woman
