She currently has 9 songs on my “On Repeat” playlist (30 songs) on Spotify without releasing for a year  But yes drag the other selenators cuz they deserve itttt

 

i have also noticed that selenators dont take advantage or help selenas small virals on tiktok at all. Swifties for ex see an audio with like 20k vídeos on tiktok and already stream the hell out of it and makes it seem a wayy bigger viral than it truly is, and after they do it for weeks the viral truly end up being bigger and bigger!!… (im not talking about “august”, but the other songs yes thats how it has worked…)

selenators could have done it with Fetish, Who Says, Lose You To Love Me, Wolves, Hands to Myself, Same Old Love, Look at her Now, Back to you (currently) 

they’ve all got “medium size” viral audios but selenators just did nothing.

Yeah, one would think there aren't many selenators there but her TikTok is pretty big, so they're there, just care more about silly stuff

it's funny to see users complaining about caring about "silly stuff" when our fav's music has always been about having something fun to do dance to, sexual empowerment, and encouraging everybody but especially women to feel beautiful in their own skin.

 

we stan a woman who's albums have thousands of streams, front to back, every day.

 

so assuming that there aren't people who love her music and use it on a consistent basis to bring joy to their life is just plain wrong and if anything we should be sharing the good vibes of Selena's music instead of constantly being mad at other people in our community

I agree, but facts are facts, and denying the reality never helps anybody. That's a fact selenators now care more relationships and rivalries that no longer are significant to her life or career, and are supporting her music less and less. How many songs Selena has released in the past few years which didn't chart or barely charted? I get it a fanbase can't carry a song alone but we used to be able to at least put her in the top 40. Sorry, I know if you're still here, you still like her music, but it's not looking like most of the fanbase do. I know they suport her in other ways like the TV show and Rare Beauty, and maybe they just don't enjoy what she's releasing, but this is the current reality

complementing: if selena releases something truly of her heart maybe she'll be able to reconnect with her audience. like they connected with LYTLM but not LAHN(imo this one was just where she wished to be, but she was not there yet at the time and people knew). Even on songs which she doesn't write one can to say when she feels it, until if that's just about having fun, she is a very "readable" person even tho she a lot of times tries to fool herself and others

 

In other news, Rare is the album which album tracks performed the best. If her team used playlist it would have a lot of tracks over 100M

I'll be happy with a pre-recorded performance. Award show performances are not going to happen it seems

Unrelated to Selena but Steve is working on a doc about his life for Apple TV+ too. I guess the platform really pays well if they keep getting these docs
