It made WAYYY too much money for an R rated drama, no way WB leaves it alone when they're so desperate for blockbuster hits. The director also made BANK BANK because his contract had great clauses regarding Box Office. 

 

But yes, as I said a few days ago, I wouldn't want Ga Ga to take it because IT'S WAY TOO MUCH attention for a dramatic role and a director that really doesn't have a great track record, and the main reason Joker was good was because it's basically a Scorcese rip-off.

What risk? No awards? Critically and commercially yeah I expect it to do a bit less than the original but it’d be great for her to add a role like this under her filmography anyhow

Tbh I have faith that the script must be REALLY good because Joaquin isn't a franchise actor at all and is the epitome of quality over quantity/arts not the charts, so there's no way he would have signed on to make a sequel unless he had faith it was going to be great... he wasn't contractually obliged to do a sequel and the role is very hard on him mentally and physically so he must really love it. Plus if it is an origin story of Joker/Harley then that is kind of a good starting point for a new story rather than just a standard sequel

Joker 2 would allow for her to fully immerse herself in a role. This idea that every movie she does has to be a huge blockbuster or critical success is ******* stupid. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has a 100% track record with critical and commercial success. She's still a new actress and needs to be able to spread her wings. This role would be perfect for her.

Imagine a bus/train full of gheys cosplaying as Harley heading to TCB stadium.

Love the common sense. Gaga fans only care about critical or commercial success as that dictates whether or not they like something. Joker grossed over a billion dollars so of course Joker 2 won't do that as well. That's common sense. That doesn't mean it's not a worthy role. This role will be gritty and emotional and something that will continue to showcase her acting abilities.

Gaga in Joker 2? OMG it was what I always wished for! Gaga should do a role in a DC As a lead actress instead of Marfad

I love the idea of Joker, we just have to prepare for new levels of lashings bc if she sucks or even if she gets it right being apart of a movie like this is gonna put so much spotlight on her.

Someone mentioned her scoring it: 1) Again while it takes less from her acting than a regular song would (like imagine she did a song for HOG, that’d be super random), we still need the acting to be the focal point. 2) It’d really have to be on the level of Hildur’s work me thinks. 
 

At the end of the day I’d be happy/proud with a score she does by herself, but yeah 

Imagine if she does Joker 2 and Cabaret back to back  Would be one of the most iconic things of all time, I fear

She's been in two movies so far and both have resulted in the public and the critics loving/liking her performance. It's the movies themselves that get the lashings so there's no need to worry.

TBH, I don't see her scoring a movie she acts in. I think for the time being she may separate those two things.

Tbh I can see the sequel easily grossing over 1bil, especially if it’s acclaimed like the first one. The hype will be absolutely huge, huge DC fanbase,  plus factor in all the gays and soccer moms there for BISMS  some of whom probably didn’t even watch the first one
