Latest Oscars has 15 million viewers (cable TV), it used to have ~ 50 million, and add those who watch online and after broadcast around the world, it's not a stretch to say 100 million tbh.

If she ever does the hosting, she should do it in an elegant style, not another annual stand-up baffoonery.

Gaga would bring back exactly that Old Hollywood style and respect for films that was absurdly lacking this year. Plus she would be a superstar booking and I think the academy would feel comfortable with her as host.

The Academy love Gaga and she went down a storm at the museum opening night gala + the reception she had presenting Best Film at this year’s telecast. If they did go for her as host it would be to shift lanes to a more traditional, less confrontational entertainer over an edgy comedian. She would understand the assignment better than most and she would generate buzz from the red carpet to what she would perform musically (considering her performances at the Oscars have all been massive moments).

 

I really don’t get why stans could doubt her for this. It’s literally everything she does well as a live performer on one of the biggest’s stages possible.

Love when Little Monsters just get it. These ridiculous posts about Gaga being above hosting the Oscars or comparing her to previous hosts are delusional and stupid.  Gaga fans continue to showcase their idiocy and I continue to be grateful that she and her team pay them DUST.

 

The public would LOVE to see Gaga host because she would be able to bring something to the table that is fresh, exciting, and entertaining. She wouldn't rely on stupid, immature jokes or jabs at people, and the energy would be uplifting and positive. When it comes to a hosting gig, the Oscars are at the very top of the list. They're not the VMAs.
