Amy and Gaga are apples and oranges when it comes to what they can offer the event. And yes awards season press is always temporary but if she does well and I think she would, not only would she be making news outlets around the world for the biggest night in film when she’s yet to be back in front of a camera after HoG, but it would be another step in building a Hollywood legacy for herself. People keep bringing up 2011 too as a warning but let’s not forget Anne won after hosting. But again all these words are for nothing because it ain’t happening. We will just have to be content with clean, supercharged radio silence after the tour ends until whatever movie she ends up doing for 2024.
