October 5, 20241 yr comment_26628012 Harlequin came out at the wrong time. Nobody wants a jazz album after 5 years without pop. Add to this the fact that communication around the album was poor: apart from the fans who spied on everything, until the day it was released we didn't know if it was a cover album, or original music... The visuals didn't match the album. The sound of the album fits with the film, but in people's minds: gaga+harley quinn = pop/dark music. Don't understand the strategy of only releasing the album in physical two weeks later. In short, it's not dramatic, and I'm happy if Gaga is having fun with this project, but I think it's a shame to have wasted an opportunity.
