Yeah, we needed a few more Gaga x Keener scenes.

What do you guys think she should do going into the #LG7 single in a few weeks? 
 

Personally I wish she would not acknowledge the movie's existence from now on, release the live Vegas performance of DWAS so everyone is reminded of her talentry and the fact she was the number 1 song in the world right now. 
 

And then start teasing her pop come back with amazing visuals.

Well interviewers gonna ask her about this movie in the future, as a smart person she would give an answer that is elegant yet telling. I don't want her to never speak about it again like she is ashamed, there is nothing to be ashamed about. Just say she got good things (the inspiration to make Harlequin, more learning experience as actor etc) out of it and the bad things (script, directing) are not in her control.

Tbh between Todd making the choice to make it a musical and being in charge and Joaquin having walked out of Haynes' gay drama, I don't see where anyone would find reasons to come for Gaga currently, aside from people who always find reasons to hate no matter what she does

I don't think the music is THE reason this movie is hated by these comic fans and incels, it's the very idea to destroy their fantasy about Joker being one of them. If Toad made it like they wanted, they won't have that big a negative reaction to the music.

I agree with you that the music was not the primary reason for it's floppage. But how would Toad make it how they wanted? First Joker fans were already skeptical about the sequel even moreso when they heard it's musical. Still, when the first full teaser was released, even those fans were seemingly enthusiastic (because lbr, the first teaser was awesome) about it.

 

Anyway, I think the movie is just boring. Plain and simple. The amount of times Arthur was taken in and out of the jail was borderline comical and Gaga being present for like half the movie and at the same time felt like she wasn't even there is just

IMO Toad should've just gone full on Bonnie and Clyde with Harley and Arthur. Harley and Joker falling in love and Harley  helping Arthur break out of the jail and then wreck havoc, cause chaos and whatnot. I also think people would be more forgiving of the controversial ending of they just focus on BOTH Harley and Joker, their love story and the inevitable death of one of them if not both of them at the end of the movie, at least that way it would justify the subtitle of the movie: Folie a Deux.

I went to see it yesterday evening with my whole group of friends and yeah it was painful to watch the movie is as bad as everyone says and more. I didn't want to believe it until seeing it for myselft but it's the truth

 

On the contrary, I didn't particulary feel Gaga's absence. She was underutilized and her character underdeveloped but still made brief appearences throughout the whole movie so...

 

In all seriousness I don't know what the director was thinking nor where those $200M budget went. With how bad word of mouth is being I doubt it will even break even

There's no saving this. We have to eventually make peace with the fact this was a mistake and move on to the next thing

The ending is not really matter if Todd makes him wear the persona he took on at the ending of the first film. The fans doesn't want to see Joker's psychology analysis, they just want the show, the entertainment.

 

The movie is kinda meta if you ask me. No one in the film cared about how Arthur feels and thinks, just like the irl fans don't care who Arthur really is, they just want to see him do the things they dare not to do in real life. I would say it's very iconic.
