To me Artur -> Joker Lee -> Harley is the depression character one. It's like you don't see yourself, you are trying to become someone else because nothing give you happiness in this world. For Arthur it was Harley, he felt in love with her, not the Lee character. for Harley it was the Joker persona, she felt the most happy when she saw the Joker in him, so she wanted the Joker not Arthur. The whole madness for two i think it was the music that helped them.
