she has one of the biggest careers in history of entertainment as a whole, who cares if she flops on music charts atp?

Maybe Miss hausofdave is correct indeed. This thread has a few cupcakes that see "trolling" in simply pointing out  facts or giving honest opinions. This is a stan base not a cult. Would DWAS being top 5 on the charts after LG7 singles 1 and 2 are OUT of the charts be a good look?

most of us here have been stanning this woman for 10+ years. I don't think any of us would have stuck around that long just to get our satisfaction from her commercial performance.

Nobody is saying we will quit stanning  if the LG7 lead single flops. Just pointing out that DWAS, a Bruno and Gaga song released months ago outperforming a solo Gaga song or two on the charts will be a not-so-great look for Gaga. Everything is not black or white - a lot of shades of grey in between so lose the cupcake mentality.

what exactly is "cupcake" about not caring much for charts?

Yeah. I'm just here because of what Gaga can offer as an entertainer. I've weathered through her lowest of lows especially on ARTPOP, on ATRL nonetheless.

 

The trolls and OGH can lambast her chart success and I will pay it no mind because I am unfazed, but if their faves falters I can jab at them because that bothers them so much. Probably the product of being a success stan that boosts their dopamine and they get pressed when their faves doesn't succeed.

Exactly. I think DWAS will help a little bit with raising interest for the song on first day but it's clear it's aimed at a whole different audience. It could still do well but I doubt it'll have as much intergenerational appeal as DWAS.

After all the talking we did in last couple of months defending Gaga for yet another collaboration we need LG7's lead to do at least decent. 

Fun fact: biggest and most global singles of the year espresso and die with a smile shares the same peak in US #3. 

 

We can always clap back with how global it was. 

 

Another fun fact, Take out US,UK,CA streams outta DWAS, it would still be #1 on Global spotify 

 

 

First single will definitely be a top10 hit, might even go top5/3 depending on how hard they will push it. Second Gaga singles also tend to do very well (when they get it right) so Im not concerned about the chart performance. I just want longevity for the album. I have a feeling it will be another magnum opus and it should be celebrated as one
