I wouldn't put Chromatica in the Ava Max camp. Yes the production can come off as faceless on some songs but at least Gaga offered powerhouse vocals & straightforward but honest lyrics. It's a cohesive effort and brings more to the table than Joanne imo.

 

Now I do agree that it lacks the same firey and rebellious spirit that made Born This Way and even ARTPOP good. LG7 should have more of a creative edge and take more risks, and I'm optimistic seeing that Gaga seems to be much more invested in this creative process than Chromatica.

I'd say it's better than ARTPOP and Joanne as an album and more listenable but everything else @Pop Fansaid is true. It is indeed generic house pop production wise 

There's no real hits without a cha-cha remix.

The album could have used a bit more sonic variety on some tracks but overall it's good and received good reviews

The way DWAS and the LG7 snippets (Notorious Being, Abracadabra, Garden of Eden, and Dance in the Shadow) all range from excellent to God-tier  oh mid-2020s Gaga the LEGEND that you are

I think JFAD will do fine in terms of Gaga's acting career. And there's too much early speculation based on so little, the first week numbers and GP's reaction will tell everything.

Alice, Rain On Me, 911, Plastic Doll, Sour Candy, Replay, Enigma & Babylon are classic Gaga songs to the core and songs only Gaga can pull off. yall just be saying anything 

 

one thing about fad is the way she sings, emotes etc has a signature Gaga style so even with how basic Joanne is, its a Gaga album through and through

Although it's too early to make a prediction and be confident, I am going to agree with you that The Weeknd is not a threat, not even his own fanbase seems to be loving the new single or video. Certainly we are in no long term danger and DWAS will remain stable
