July 17, 20242 yr comment_26197126 Unpopular opinion: at this point avoid 2024 all together. It's already a year of underwhelming, overstimulated mess of releases. People are being extremely critical and are moving on from albums quicker, this year more than ever, either due to saturation in the market, or truly our attention spans are shrinking collectively. Joker will have a soundtrack, so let it have its moment. An independent album in the middle of it all is too much of a mess, and too late I fear. The Grammys will be a bloodbath so let them fight. Gaga will probably face Lorde, Taylor again, and maybe even Rihanna, the following year so it's fine. Unpopular opinion 2: the Dancing in the shadow snippet is underwhelming, to put it kindly. Same preachy, forceful yells. She shines the most when she's playful with her range, enough with the look how good I can sing vibes.
