She's been actively teasing LG7 since January, and now we know that the HBO special was supposed to be released in February. This means she was teasing LG7 for a reason, so don't start with "she never teased LG7", TIK TOK TIK TOK

If I have to guess, it's probably because of the TikTok mess, and unfortunately they couldn't move Fortnite because Billie had already booked the spot for her album release.

But I think they made a wise decision. Consider the scenario where they had maintained the February release date and released the snippet of the lead single five months before actually releasing it.

If you asked a random person on the street if they were excited for LG7, they would have no clue what you were talking about. Then if you followed up with "Lady Gaga posted on instagram with the comment TIK TOK TIK TOK" they would look at you like you were crazy. 
 

This "hype" exists in a gay Twitter bubble. The  GP has no clue about any of this LG7 "momentum"

Yeah, and I was talking about the hype in the fandom. That was my point. She's doing this for the fans, and she created the perfect moment to announce it. If she misses the occasion, it would be... dumb, because we've been here, excited about her comeback since January. Even users who were 2025 truthers said that teasing with that snippet and then not announcing it is strange, meaning that it worked: she made everyone think something is coming soon, but waiting another month will bring back down the excitement that is now rampant in our fandom.

 

 

If you ask a random person on the street about "Lady Gaga" they probably will start singing shalalalalaaaalooow. They don't have a clue about what she's doing in the "pop world". 

 

 

+ As I previously mentioned with respect to the GP, she created the ideal opportunity to build upon what she has already done the last few weeks. The hype needs to be built; it's not something that magically materializes. Of course, the locals are not aware of what Gaga is doing, as it is no longer 2011. I wasn't suggesting that the world is abuzz about the idea of LG7; nobody even watched the special.

Fans will be fans at any time of the year. There's no point releasing unless they have a proper campaign booked to promote it (as we saw how Stupid Love fell like a rock)
