Saying nothing is worse, and her silence is eloquent and gives an idea of these opinions unfortunately.
We're talking genocide. It's a pity that some people here think that using her pop star platform is useless, because she won't have as big an impact as Ariana Grande or Biden.
 
Anyways. I'm not here to be polemical, I'm just sad that my pop star who wasn't afraid to speak up has shut up.

Isn't it the truth that people are aware enough? Literally everyone knows bout what's going on in Palestine, what would change if Gaga speaks it on her social media platform.

The only reason why celebs are not speaking up because it's smart from the PR perspective. Don't kid yourself it's anything else. And that's completely fine, we should stop looking at celebrities as our role models, thus not expect them to be politically involved. Just entertain us and we call it a day

Well, there are literally millions of people who don't say anything about this topic for the very reason I outlined. This culture of shaming people into public statements is silly and doesn't actually lead to any change. 

Even in the last page, there was an implication that Gaga shouldn't have said Israel is a beautiful country. That's already forcing her into a box, where she can't say it's a beautiful country while also believing their government is conducting war crimes against the will of millions of Israelis themselves. It just validates to me that she shouldn't say anything publicly..

I wouldn't call it silly, it's just a sign of the times. We give these celebrities such big platforms, and when some of them sort of build their careers on activism, it's completely normal to wish they would use their platforms and speak up against something so horrifying.

 

When it comes to Gaga, this is the woman who had to be bullied into acknowledging the pride month last year, and she was literally the gay icon of our generation. I don't think she suddenly stopped caring about the LGBT+ community, but her priorities have clearly shifted over the years. She's part of the Hollywood elite now and she's just not the same person she was 15 years ago

The whole point of art is about sparking change and challenging wrongs — which is what Gaga built her brand on. We can agree to disagree, but at the end of the day she's still in the cabinet of the president that is funding the genocide.
