I mean, sometimes people do the most but Gaga has absolutely drastically changed in personality since her beginning. Not saying it's inherently a bad thing and not saying it in a "sHe LoSt hEr cReAtiViTy" kind of way, but she indeed has changed quite a bit. I wonder how much of it was due to trauma related to her media backlash, hip surgery, fibro, etc.

I don't mean this as a drag, but I definitely think she cares more about success than she maybe would have given off in the past and the lack of success during ARTPOP made her hesitant to... have an edge like she used to going into her future projects. It's shown in just about everything she's done since Joanne.

 

Not that I would want an era like ARTPOP again lmao. But it's an interesting observation.

We can be honest with ourselves, her red carpet looks used to be awe inspiring and her interviews would be thought provoking. Now half of her red carpet looks are straight from a Macy's sale and she recites whatever her PR team gives her for six months at a time. Fortunately, she still delivers on the music and visuals (when she actually cares enough to do them.)
