One of her biggest radio hits, Applause, is sung with an affectation no modern-day popstar would ever dare to use because of how bizarre it is.  Like, I get that you guys are mad that she is not giving you the success you so desperately crave to live vicariously through (apparently being one of the most successful, highest grossing, highest selling, most awarded artists of all time is not enough), but you do not have to revise history and pretend like she was once a radio juggernaut because of her "soft, cutesy vocals". 

 

Shallow being a global phenomenon and US radio still paying it dust should tell you that it is not about her vocals, it is just about who she is as a public figure and that cannot be changed.

Sis the only time Gaga sounded a bit nasal and strained is when she was smoking 4 packs a day back in 2019. As for shouting the only time that was a problem was PI. As for singing in a style that doesn't fit her TIHTY comes to mind. Y'all don't give her enough credit for never sounding bad live or having an off night. If anything the CBT proved she still has access to her more poppy girly tone y'all said she lost since ARTPOP. Sure her voice has matured and is deeper but I think if she quit smoking altogether she still can very much sing like her old hits like she used to.
