That will always be one of the main reasons, but Dylan has a very... annoying (?) personality.  She started off her transition saying a lot of really stereotypically dumb **** about what it means to be a women in a very loud, obnoxious manner that actually pissed off a lot of trans people and feminists.  It's great if she thinks her best female self is aligning with the  stereotypical definition of "woman", but it was the way in which she made it seem like "this is how women are" is what irked a lot of people.  However, she's grown a lot since then and is mostly unproblematic.  The people who *actually* hate her are just transphobic.

Omg what a coincidence! I was listening to DITD earlier and the way she just belts out the chorus really solidified her status as an icon back in 2009.

It's not really a skulldrag. Some interesting points for sure but them leaving out her colossal repeak with ASIB is telling.

 

The most interesting thing I took away is that she has an inner theater kid and inner punk fighting between each other for mass validation while simultaneously challenging convention.

 

The Stupid Love OG video concept that leaked is proof that she still has excellent creativity inside of her. There is just something blocking her from the execution (hence the more tame Chromatica).

 

Overall, there really isn't a "downfall" to Lady Gaga when she's about to star in one of the biggest films of this decade.
