I feel like it's pretty obvious that it's not about permanently shifting to one or the other but finding a balance. Gaga going full AC/jazz permanently would erode her core fanbase and disconnect her from gen z despite her semi-recently gaining footing with them. At the same time, it's clear AC audiences stan and she should capitalize on that.
