The point is that everyone acts like she automatically can't perform pop music when she's older when she absolutely can. She can do BOTH jazz/piano and pop, it's really not much more complicated than that and the idea that all she wants to do is suddenly piano ballads and jazz isn't rooted in anything beyond fan theories and trauma with how Chromatica went 

 

Like one of the biggest parts of Gaga's public identity and artistic legacy is electronic music and how much she shifted the sonic landscape with it. We can't go on and on about how the GP loves ClassyGa, but her electropop hits like BR and PF are more integral to her legacy than Shallow and jazz covers. Hell, Bad Romance is her biggest artistic contribution to mainstream culture period. It's a given that she will be performing at least 2-4 of her pop hits forever.

I swear people have been pushing this narrative that Gaga should quit pop since she turned 30, if not before. Jazz music will not sustain her career whatsoever. She needs to make pop music or ballads if she wants to have hits. This style of music just isn’t what most people want these days.
