That date has worked for them ever since ASIB for this type of studio film that's aimed at the Oscars but also has the archetype of a box office hit. May 9, 20233 yr comment_23803118 She's definitely not going to release in Summer 2024 just before the movie release and she won't launch a new album in studio along with the movie and soundtrack, it's a very risky move that her label would not allow anyway, she would never do it. It sucks but 2025 has always been the scenario with most sense, coming from the movie hypotetic success and once awards season is done. This year she's recording and preparing the album, probably continuing next year + maybe Vegas dates? I really don't see her releasing in Spring 2024 either and going on a tour just before doing the promo tour for the movie, not even see her releasing next year and then interrupting the era to pass on movie and reprising it in 2025. Staying on hiatus until JFAD will create even more buzz for the movie, it's realistically (and logistically) the right move for her.
