From what we know so far it’s going to be set in Hollywood in the 1970s and seems likely to be based around Kael’s brief time switching from critic to working in the movie business itself after being encouraged to make the jump by Warren Beatty — and how she ended up pissing everyone off and ending up in a rut as a creative consultant at Paramount.

She was in her 50s during the 70s (and she was looking older than your average 50s years old people these days), I don't think Gaga would fit this role at all, but not because it's Gaga, it's the same argument for any other actress of her age, this is definitely a role for a veteran-older actress and I'm sure he's gonna choose one of them.

Oh yeah I would 100% agree Gaga would be too young, but I could definitely see Jennifer Jason Leigh doing it as she is bang on the age all the **** went down at Paramount (60). 
 

Meryl would fit her speaking cadence very well, although even with Pauline as mature in her styling as she was, I do think it could be a push for someone in their mid-70s to take that on but if anyone could do it..

Gaga should do Tatiana Troyanos in a movie. She's a mezzo like she is. She would need minimum a couple years of vocal training, probably more. Sadly she cannot do María Callas cause shes not a soprano (and the lipsync mess Angelina Jolie is gonna go would be a disservice to Gaga's vocal capabilities)

The Gaga vs. Margot comparisons when Gaga's HQ is revealed are going to be soooooo annoying, especially because they both portray very different versions of HQ.

 

Gaga's will be better and more acclaimed, though.
