Yeah I think it's her best album

From the 10/10 singles, the album tracks are all fantastic, great mid tempos like Brown Eyes, Again Again. Zero filler, Summerboy, Paper Gangsta, Disco Heaven, I Like It Rough- smash after smash. Even the "trashier" songs like The Fame, Money Honey and Boys Boys Boys (In the Morning Buy Me Eggs) are melodically and lyrically camp excellency. production wise they're all top tier.

Luckily the voters don't have to listen to that intro (which I have gotten used to by now) in the submission clip and how it's used in the film so we should be good  
 

If it wins it would solely be on the strength of narrative of honoring Chadwick's legacy + a massive promo campaign. And Gaga already beat a BP song once so they'd prob want to reward it this time. Or there might be a dark horse contender, who knows. We shall see. In any case, Gaga will likely be nominated and we'll get another iconic Oscars performance. She remains an Academy Award® winner and has nothing to lose here.

Yeah for sure, I would even prefer she doesnt win for HMH since she has bigger projects coming soon (The Joker soundtrack will be VERY interesting) - but looking at this very objectively, the rihanna song is a dud. Not even trying to be shady, I was looking forward to hearing it.

I feel like y'all setting yourselves up. This is Rihanna's comeback in 6 years, radio will spin this and people will listen to it. It will be a bit sorta like how Shallow was.

Shallow sounded like a hit from the get go- there was an explosive moment in it, and the melody was memorable. I'm sorry but none of that is true here, it is quite literally a filler end credits song, but Rihanna sounds pretty at least. I would be shocked if this was a Shallow sized success.

I think we might be safe guys… the BP song was unexciting and the lyrics were awful, let’s be honest. Rih could easily be Beyonce’d at this Oscar ceremony, but then again voters could easily be swayed by the Chadwick narrative. HMH is a superb song in comparison and is attached to the biggest movie of the year, but we’ll see how things go.
