November 25, 2025Nov 25 comment_28578144 Watching this gorgeous version live made me fall back in love with this song. I always thought it had such a strong melodic structure and the piano version showcases that so well. It's a very special song in her discography, and the song in TFM which preceded Born This Way the most. A lot of it's themes and production choices, especially how rough around the edges and garage-y it sounds. If any song on TFM would've ended up on Born This Way this would've for sure been it. I remember back in 2015 when I started to inhabit stan spaces and actually delving deep into Gaga's discography (was only aware of the singles and some deepcuts here and there before) that this was THE song that was cool to stan and consider her #1 (because saying stuff like Bad Romance would've been too basic of course ahah). It really takes me back in time to when I was just discovering Gaga's album discography and makes me really nostalgic for that period of time. And there's 6 Christmas albums that were below Mayhem last week that are now above it, 6 new albums debuted above it, and non-Christmas music starts slowing down this time of year due to the Christmas freeze. So the drop is big, but there are serval reasons why.
